Estudos sobre a aquisição da competência derivacional em Português Língua Não Materna
Word-formation is an area of the acquisition of Portuguese by speakers of other languages (PLNM) that has received little attention from researchers, both theoretically and empirically. This paper presents a state-of-the-art of the available empirical studies on the acquisition of derivational competence by PLNM learners. Building on the analysis of those studies, the paper presents the research lines that have been followed, as well as the types of corpora, informants and analysis methodologies used so far. Finally, the paper identifies the weak areas in those studies and presents some guidelines for the development of future research.
