Percepções e avaliações sociolinguísticas do português brasileiro como língua não materna
Abstract
In this article, we aim to investigate the sociolinguistic subjective perceptions and evaluations of foreigners who study or have studied Portuguese, especially the Brazilian variety. For this, we briefly present some reflections on the space conquered by the Portuguese language in the world, our concept of adopted language (Portuguese language as a pluricentric language) and the reasons and conceptualizations of sociolinguistic perceptions and evaluations. Then we present the methodology and the test developed to identify some perceptions and evaluations of Speakers of Other Languages (PFOL), BP learners, and the analysis of the collected data. Among the results found, we found that all research participants, even with different mother tongues, perceive the Southeast region varieties as the most similar when they express themselves in Brazilian Portuguese.
