O encontro das culturas lusófonas em Macau: uma abordagem pedagógica da competência intercultural e do pluricentrismo da língua portuguesa
Abstract
The main objective of this article is to describe and analyze a project developed by Instituto Português do Oriente (IPOR) and the Macao Youth Education and Development Service for Chinese Teenage Learners (DSEDJ), aged between 12 and 17. The project Dias de Campo da Língua Portuguesa had as its primary purpose the teaching, learning, and reinforcement of Portuguese language skills in an extra-school context, through activities around the Portuguese language and the cultures of Portuguese-speaking countries, in order to promote the development of learners' intercultural competence. The choice of the theme aimed, therefore, to provide an awareness of Portuguese as a pluricentric language, integrating and expressing different cultures, equally addressing the importance of friendly relations between China, Portugal and the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries. All activities were organized according to playful methodologies, stimulating the participants' creativity and motivation to learn a foreign language and its culture. The article also explores the impact that this type of activities has on the teaching and learning of Portuguese as a foreign language.
